Do you need a change? What is stopping you from a change?

So many people are in a tough economic situation, yet they aren’t doing anything about it. A lot of Americans are having their hours reduced, benefits taken away, but they continue to stick with what they’re used to. We only have one life. Why not live a happy life? I want you to think about where you are now, and think about where you want to be in the future. I think people have stopped dreaming. I’m always dreaming about what my Family’s future is going to be like. Dream a little… Better yet, ask yourself these mind disturbing questions below. I heard them from a great training, and I knew I had to share them. Once you read these questions, I would like to know what is stopping you from a change?

1. How am I doing?
2. Do I like what I do?
3. Am I living where I want?
4. Am I living the lifestyle that I want?
5. Do I spend the time I want with my Children?
6. Have I provided for my Children’s education?
7. Have I provided for my retirement?

These questions sure make one think. If you’ve been wanting to make a change in your life for the better, I encourage you to think about what your options are. Take action!

What are the perks of being a WAHM (Work at Home Mom?)

When Moms are looking to work from home, they want to know what the perks of being a Work at Home Mom are. Of course there is the obvious one of actually being able to work from home, but when I was looking to work from Home I don’t think I actually realized all of the perks.

Now that my Son is in Pre-School I’ve come to realize more than ever how blessed I truly am! I thought I’d share the perks of being a Work at Home Mom with you.

1. Everyday is casual Friday- We can work in our pajamas and slippers if we want.

2. Time freedom- We are able to take our Kids to their activities and school. We don’t get the stink eye from our Boss if we have to leave early. We are the Boss! We can come and go as we please.

3. Choose who you work with- This is a huge perk that I didn’t realize until I started working from home. Work at Home Moms have the flexibility of choosing who they work with. No more having to worry about working with the wrong people.

4. Working from anywhere you want- I am able to work from anywhere that has Internet and phone accessibility.

5. Tax Write offs- Any expense that you have for your business is a tax write off. You can write off your Internet & Phone bills, or how about a new computer!!

6. Share with other Moms- We can share with other Moms how they can contribute financially, all while working around their Family’s schedule.

7. Not miss ANY special moment- My favorite perk is that I’m not missing anything in my Children’s lives. There is no greater feeling knowing that I’m here with my little ones and I’m able to teach them and watch them grow.

Many people want to know what it takes to be successful.

I thought I’d share some tips on steps to success. I know as I’m continuing to work towards my goals these steps are definitely helpful for me. I hope you find them helpful as well. 

1. Belief- Belief in yourself and what you’re doing is very important.

Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe. ~Gail Devers  

2. Desire- Your desire will urge you to reach your full potential. 

3. Positive Thinking- ”Stinkin’ thinkin’” (whatever you call your negative thoughts) aren’t going to help. Having a positive attitude and always being in the right mindset will continue to motivate you while working towards success. 

4.  Determination- Don’t let ANYTHING stop you. Not everything is going to go the way you want it to, and that’s okay. Be determined to continue,  no matter what!

5. Vision- Having a vision of what your future will be like once you’re successful or you’ve achieved your goal is SO powerful. I have a vision board of what my future looks like in my office which keeps me motivated.

6. Patience- Be Patient. As I mentioned earlier, things won’t always go as planned. Something worth having is worth waiting for. Give yourself some extra time to reach your goal, but never give up.

7. Focus- Stay focused. Don’t let anyone or anything stop you. There are going to be things that get in the way. “Life” will happen, but stay laser focused.

Do you have a back up plan? A plan B, in case something happens to your plan A.

This tough economy has people who THOUGHT they had job security looking for a plan B. More and more people are getting word that their Company is cutting hours, downsizing, and even closing after years of security. Just a few years ago; many people were on top of the world. Now they’re finding themselves in a big mess.  Most people picture their future to be brighter; unfortunately many people are finding the opposite.

Take a look at a Trailer from the movie The Company Men It’s such a great little clip. If you haven’t seen this movie, I encourage you to watch it.

I’m glad that I began working from home a couple years ago. I have time freedom, but I’m also providing financial security for my Family. Do you have a plan B? If not, I encourage you to seriously start thinking about it.

What’s your reason for wanting to work from home?

Are you looking to earn extra income? Are you wanting to get rid of debt? Are you wanting more security for your future? When looking to work from home; the first thing you should ask yourself is: Why? 

Why are you looking? Why would working from home enhance your life?Asking yourself why is SO important. Your “Why” is going to be your motivator. Your “why” will keep you going when there is a bump in the road. I believe that you must to have a strong “why” to reach any goal, otherwise that drive won’t be there.

The second question you should ask yourself is: What?

What will your life be like once you reached a certain goal? What will you be able to do once your goal is reached? Dream a little. Envisioning what your life will be like, is also a great motivator. It will make you want to achieve your goal/s no matter what.

When I first began working from home, I just wanted a bit of extra income. Now that I have reached that goal, I want to better myself. I want to improve our Family’s life. My “why” has changed, which is great! I hope that when you’re wanting to reach a goal/s you’ll ask yourself those two questions.

Have you ever thought to yourself: I wish I could do this. I wish I could do that. 

I have plenty of times. I recently attended an awesome Saturday Business training. I learned quite a bit from this training and I realized that I need to start “doing” more instead of wishing/dreaming. I’ve come up with a few tips to help me stop wishing and start doing. I hope that they can help you as well.

1. Develop an action plan.

Write down step by step what needs to be done to make your wish/dream come true.

2. Decide what you’re going to give up.

If you keep doing the same things, you’re going to get the same results. If that means you have to watch less T.V. then so be it.

3. Take Baby Steps.

Breaking it up into smaller steps will make your wish/dream more achievable.

4.  Celebrate the completion of each step. 

Celebrating will keep you more motivated to continue onto the next step. You will have completed all the steps and reached your goal before you know it!
